I'm sure someone with enough knowledge could use it to get into my computer, but if they are smart enough to do that, they could have without Teamviewer installed anyway imo. If I couldn't get into it myself, it left me pretty confident that anyone I knew that cared enough to try to get into my computer, couldn't(people I know personally). By default, the program changes the password each time you run an instance of Teamviewer, making even that much harder. This is assuming you use the "Permanent Password" feature. I am by no means a security or networking guru, but from the tests I have ran it through I have yet to get into it without my password, using various script kiddie hacker type tools only though. Maybe there is a paid "Pro" version that I am unaware of or only one for the phones maybe? If so, news to me.Įdit: As to its security, I have never had a problem with it. Only a paid one if you were going to use it for commercial use. paid version, as far as the PC to PC one, I didn't think there was any difference.
